As family men with daughters of our own, we’ve found it a personal conflict working in the adult entertainment industry. However, it was precisely this conflict that drew us to establish Kiss X. Back in the early 2000s, our director Stephen was a shareholder and managing director of Lovers2.com, a regular online dating site with a unique twist. The original co-founders had no prior experience in launching a large digital project, and Stephen stepped in to ensure that the website and marketing strategies were properly aligned for success. His efforts turned Lovers2.com into a groundbreaking platform, featuring premium members on massive 42ft billboards around the world, which garnered significant media attention, including coverage in a BBC documentary about online dating sites.
Building on the success of Lovers2.com, Stephen went on to originate and launch Out2Date, one of the first online gay dating sites. His leadership and vision were instrumental in establishing Out2Date as a pioneering platform in the LGBTQ+ community. Stephen also forged a key partnership with reFRESH, the UK’s second most popular gay magazine at the time, just behind Gay Times. Together with reFRESH, Stephen hosted Out2Date’s highly successful and packed-out launch event at DV8, Birmingham’s premier nightclub on Lower Essex Street in the city’s Gay Quarter, during Birmingham Gay Pride. The event featured Big Brother’s first transgender winner, Nadia, as the special guest, who helped open the night.
